Welcome to BRIDGE

Building Relationships for Inclusive Digital Growth and Engagement

Safe and meaningful digital engagement.

Bridge is a two-year Erasmus+ funded project (2025–2026) that brings together universities, autism organisations, and NGOs from Ireland, Greece, Spain, Cyprus, and Croatia. The project is led by Dublin City University (DCU), the world’s first Autism-Friendly University, and involves key partners such as:

  • European University Cyprus
  • University of Zagreb (Croatia)
  • Autism Praxis Infinity Solutions (APIS), Cyprus
  • Autismo Andalucía, Spain
  • Light Trees (Φωτόδεντρα), Greece

Together, these partners aim to explore and improve how autistic youth use the Internet, understand the benefits and risks of online spaces, and promote safe and meaningful digital engagement.

Through co-participatory research with autistic youth, consultations with families and professionals, and the development of inclusive digital tools, BRIDGE seeks to create a Europe-wide online toolkit. This toolkit will offer practical strategies for healthy, responsible internet use tailored for autistic individuals and those who support them—families, caregivers, youth workers, educators, and therapists.

At its heart, BRIDGE is about listening to autistic voices and translating their lived experiences into concrete, inclusive actions. The project fosters mutual understanding across generations and disciplines and helps build a more equitable and connected digital future for all.
