On 4–5 March 2026, the partners of the BRIDGE Project met in Seville, Spain, for the project’s 20th transnational meeting, hosted by Federación Autismo Andalucía.
Although the meeting had been planned as an in-person event, the impact of the war in the Middle East led to flight cancellations, preventing some partners from travelling to Seville. As a result, several members of the consortium participated online. Despite these challenges, the meeting was successfully held in a hybrid format, ensuring the active involvement of all partners.
The meeting focused on the progress achieved across the project’s work packages, including the implementation of focus groups, interviews, and national data collection activities. Partners exchanged experiences and discussed key findings, highlighting the importance of accessible, flexible, and inclusive approaches that support the meaningful participation of autistic young people, families, and professionals.
Particular attention was given to the next phase of the project, including the organisation of upcoming national workshops and the development of the BRIDGE online toolkit. The workshops will contribute to the co-creation of project outputs, while the toolkit will bring together research findings, workshop materials, and practical guidance in an accessible and user-friendly format.
Partners also agreed on a number of important next steps for the coming months, including the continuation of workshop activities, the preparation of awareness-raising materials, and the establishment of a dedicated working group to support the design and development of the online toolkit.
The meeting in Seville marked another important milestone for the BRIDGE Project. Despite the travel disruptions, the consortium once again demonstrated its strong commitment to collaboration, accessibility, inclusion, and meaningful participation, laying solid foundations for the next stage of the project.
